Zovo PDF to Spreadsheet

Turn the tables in a text PDF into a real Excel workbook and CSV files.

Zovo PDF to Spreadsheet converts text-based PDF tables to XLSX files that open in Excel and a ZIP of CSV files. Unmatched rows are retained in an Other text sheet and other-text.csv. Numbers within spreadsheet precision stay numeric; higher-precision values remain text with a warning. Dates become spreadsheet dates with a US format, and each table comes with column types and a preview so you can check the result.

What it does

Finds tables with 3 or more rows and 2 or more aligned columns in a text PDF
One Excel sheet per table, plus the same tables as UTF-8 CSV files in a ZIP
Column typing: numbers (with currency, parentheses negatives and percent), dates (ISO, MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY) and text
Matching last and first tables on consecutive pages can be merged; unmatched rows go to Other text
Scanned pages are reported instead of guessed (no OCR)
Preview of the first rows of each table in the result and in the widget

Limitations

Text-based PDFs only; scanned or photographed pages need OCR first
Complex layouts with merged cells may need a manual check
Up to 15 MB and 50 pages per file
A text cell over 32,767 characters must be split in the source before export; higher-precision numbers remain text
